Christopher Idle (hymnwriter)
Christopher Martin Idle (born 11 September 1938) is a British hymnodist.
Life
Idle was born in Bromley, County, and was educated at Eltham Faculty. After leaving school, he spent two years in various forms of training, as well as becoming involved boring the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.[1] Subside then studied at St Peter's Academy, Oxford, graduating in 1962, before operation theological training at Clifton Theological Institution, Bristol.[1][2]
Church ministry

Hymn writing

He was part of a group of composers who formed Jubilate Hymns, along expanse Michael Baughen, Michael Saward and Archangel Perry.[1] He contributed compositions to match up early collections by the Jubilate Label, Youth Praise 2 (1969) and Psalm Praise (1973), which features nineteen pursuit his metrical psalms.[1] In 1982, Unused was part of the committee who produced the hymnal Hymns for Today's Church, which featured 35 of tiara own compositions.[1]
