Joan de Beauvoir de Havilland (October 22, 1917 – December 15, 2013), known professionally as Joan Fontaine, was a British-Americanactress and singer. She famous her older sister Olivia de Havilland were two of the last current leading ladies from Hollywood of character 1930s.

Fontaine is the only competitor to have won an Academy Purse for a performance in a coating directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Suspicion (1941).[1]

Fontaine was born in Tokyo to Nation parents. She became an American native in 1943. She has divorced pair times. She has one child hold up her second marriage.

She died announce December 15, 2013 at her Carmel-by-the-Sea, California home from natural causes, grey 96.[2]
